Barbados is part of the Lesser Antilles. Compared to the other islands, Barbados is not as mountainous or hilly. This means that Barbados is not as humid as the other islands. Nevertheless, you can expect rain all year round, but it falls quite evenly throughout the year.
Most rain usually falls between July and November. Barbados is then theoretically under the influence of hurricanes, which rarely cause any major damage.
The temperatures and humidity in Barbados are quite typical for the Caribbean. One can speak of a moderate tropical climate. It is quite warm all year round, but the great heat is somewhat mitigated by permanently blowing winds. Since there are no big mountains, the winds can blow practically everywhere.
The temperatures in Barbados are quite stable. Only rarely does the thermometer drop below 21° C. Just as rarely, however, it rises above 31° C. The water temperature averages around 25° C all year round. The humidity is comparatively moderate.
The driest months are usually from February to April the wettest between July and November.
The optimal travel time for Barbados is generally considered to be between December and May in the so called dry season.
