Best time to travel to: Central African Republic

The Republic of Central Africa / Central African Republic is a country in Africa, which is enclosed practically on all sides by other countries (Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Overall, the country is only sparsely populated. In the north of the country you will mainly find dry savannah, which merges into a wet savannah towards the center and then becomes an area with tropical forest in the south.

In the north of the country it is very warm and very dry, especially from October to March. There is rainfall between April to September, with the main rainy phase between July and September. Otherwise it rarely or never rains and it is quite warm to hot.

The South is determined by an equatorial climate, which can be compared with that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. That means it has very high temperatures all year round, but it also rains all year round and there are also two noticeable rainy seasons.
