Best Time To Travel To: Ibiza

The climate in Ibiza is often called one of the best in the Balearic Islands. Summers are warm, but rarely quite hot, winters are usually very mild.

From February onwards, Ibiza becomes quite interesting, because this is the time when the almond blossom begins. Although it is scenic, there is relatively little going on in Ibiza during this phase. It is often still relatively cool in February. In March the temperatures stabilize and you can say that from Easter onwards the first streams of visitors begin. In this phase the weather is often very nice, but also unstable. However, the phase from February to April is often described as the optimal travel time for active vacationers.

It is much more stable and warmer in May. One can say that from May the season is finally opened. In some places it can still be fresh in the evenings, which is why you should pack one or the other warm item of clothing for May.

From June, the summer begins, so to speak, even if it can still be a bit fresher in the evenings in June from time to time. The temperatures are usually nice and warm and it rains very little until August. With the onset of summer, the vegetation declines noticeably, due to the low rainfall. It then becomes simply too warm and too dry. Until August it is normally always summery warm, the phase is ideal for a beach vacation in Ibiza. There is a certain peak in the flow of visitors normally in July and August, then is really very busy.

The situation gradually relaxes in September. Actually surprising, because September is climatically very interesting. It is then normally still quite warm, also the water temperatures are more than pleasant. However, from the middle of September you have to reckon with the first cloudiness, from the end of September the autumn sets in, so to speak. There can be rain from time to time. Nevertheless, the weather remains more than decent. However, it becomes more and more unstable from October on. Then it also becomes relatively quiet on the island and many clubs close - a sign that the main season is over. over the also comparatively unstable and often rainy November it goes into the winter season.

Interestingly, however, you can still count on some sunny phases even until December, theoretically you could even still swim. However, the water temperatures usually go down to 15°C. The temperatures in winter on Ibiza rarely go towards 0°C and snow is also rather rare. Basically, you can expect an average of 15°C in winter. When the sun shines, it feels much warmer and there is sometimes almost a spring-like feeling. Nevertheless, the period from December to February is not considered the best time to travel to Ibiza. In Ibiza it is simply also the case that over the winter almost all tourist stores are closed, there is practically no perceptible winter tourism. Actually, it's a pity, because the island is relatively green and quite interesting during that time. If you want to go there, Eivissa is recommended, because there is still a decent infrastructure even in winter.
