The relatively small independent principality of Monaco actually consists more or less only of the city of Monaco. There used to be a subdivision into Monaco, Monte Carlo and Condamine, which is rarely used today. Monaco is located directly on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea in France in the heart of the Cote d'Azur.
This region is of course one of the traditionally popular sun destinations. Accordingly, Monaco enjoys an extremely pleasant Mediterranean climate.
The winters in Monaco are usually mild and snowfall is extremely rare. In January, the average temperatures are normally around 8 ° C. Theoretically, temperatures can fall to 0 ° C or slightly below.
The summers are actually very warm, although the great heat is actually missing due to the coastal location. In summer, temperatures in Monaco reach an average of approx. 25 ° C, the peak values rarely exceed 34 ° C.
Due to the fairly balanced climate, Monaco is an ideal year-round travel destination, with spring and autumn being extremely attractive. The best time for Monaco could be seen in the months of April to May and September to October.
