When is the best time to go to: Ukraine
Ukraine is something specialfor the region in which the country is located. The winters in Ukraine can be very cold, especially when the wind blows over the country from Siberia. But the winters in the Ukraine are usually shorter than those of the neighboring northern countries or central Russia.
Ukraine has a more moderate continental climate. The summers are relatively warm, the winters, as mentioned, cold and snowy, but not extremely long. Spring comes relatively early and is easily noticeable. Autumn is also clearly noticeable and often brings sunny sections.
The climate in the coastal regions of the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula is almost Mediterranean. Here the summers are even warmer, the winters not quite as cold. This region is the most popular holiday destination in the country (notice: the Crimean Peninsula has meanwhile been occupied by Russia).
The best time to travel to Ukraine is most likely outside of winter from May to September, although autumn can still bring relatively beautiful sections and certainly has its charms.
